6G-MUSICAL Research Recognised at IEEE 802 Plenary!
The 6G-MUSICAL project has gained visibility in the international research community through IMEC’s presentation at the IEEE 802 Plenary session, held on July 27 – August 1, 2025, in Madrid, Spain.
During the Wireless Next Generation (WNG) Workshop, IMEC showcased its OpenWiFi demo, which features advanced capabilities, including sensing, for next-generation wireless networks.
Notably, the presentation acknowledged the contributions of the 6G-MUSICAL project, demonstrating the project’s role in shaping innovative 6G technologies.
While 6G-MUSICAL did not formally submit a standards contribution, this acknowledgement reflects the impact of the project’s research on IEEE 802 discussions and next-generation wireless standardisation.
