6G-MUSICAL Research Presented at IEEE ICCT 2025!
The 6G-MUSICAL consortium is delighted to announce that the paper “Target Localisation in Distributed MIMO OFDM Radar” was accepted and presented at the IEEE International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT 2025).
Authored by the 6G-MUSICAL Coordinator at Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), the paper introduces a novel distributed MIMO radar algorithm that leverages interleaved Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) to enhance target detection and localisation accuracy.
The proposed approach enables local delay estimation at receiver access points, with simulation results demonstrating accurate multi-target localisation and improved performance across various antenna deployments and OFDM configurations.
This contribution reinforces the 6G-MUSICAL project’s commitment to advancing Joint Communication and Sensing (JCAS) technologies, paving the way for the next generation of intelligent, integrated 6G systems.
