6G-MUSICAL Project presented at DAS 2024
The 6G-MUSICAL project was recently presented at the 17th International Conference on Development and Application Systems (DAS 2024), held from May 23-25, 2024, in Suceava, Romania. ORO partner represented the project, sharing the stage with five other EU-funded initiatives, (Adroit6G, 6Green, TrialsNet, 6G-Path, and iSEE-6G) to highlight innovative developments in 6G technology.
The 6G-MUSICAL project is pioneering the integration of radio sensing and communication technologies to redefine Radio Frequency (RF) communication. By equipping 6G edge infrastructure nodes with RF/radar-based radio-sensing elements that operate alongside communication components, the project enables precise localisation, object tracking, and 3D imaging with centimetre-level accuracy.
The 6G-MUSICAL vision, objectives, and use cases were presented during the conference, focusing on the development of spectrally and energy-efficient system architectures and signals. These advancements are designed to support high-rate communication across multi-frequency bands while achieving unprecedented accuracy in sensing and localisation.
DAS 2024 provided a platform for the 6G-MUSICAL project to engage with experts and stakeholders, contributing to the broader discussion on the future of 6G technologies.
