6G-MUSICAL Project Advances Future 6G Networks with Breakthrough in Near-Field ISAC Technology!
The 6G-MUSICAL project is pleased to announce its latest advancements in integrating Near-Field Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) technologies within next-generation 6G networks. A recent publication, “Near-Field ISAC in 6G: Revolutionizing Wireless Communication and Sensing” showcases how this cutting-edge approach can enhance communication efficiency, reduce latency, and enable multi-functional applications in diverse environments.
The project, which focuses on developing key technologies for realising 6G networks, aims to integrate wireless sensing capabilities directly with communication systems to create a more efficient, scalable, and adaptable network infrastructure. The publication, now available on the project’s website (publications) and in IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials, represents a significant milestone for the 6G-MUSICAL consortium.
The publication, titled “Near-Field ISAC in 6G: Revolutionizing Wireless Communication and Sensing,” will also be featured at IEEE ICASSP 2025, marking an important step in showcasing the ground-breaking research on integrated communication and sensing technologies.
