6G-MUSICAL at OFC 2026: Driving the Future of 6G Networks!
The 6G-MUSICAL project participated in OFC 2026, the leading global event for optical communications, held in Los Angeles from 15–19 March 2026.
The project highlighted how ultrafast lasers and precise network synchronization are enabling the next generation of 6G networks, supporting ultra-high-speed data, low-latency communication, and centimeter-level device localisation.
Key Activities at OFC 2026:
- Demonstrated photonic-assisted low-noise signal generators for high-speed networks
- Showcased cesium-locked combs with clock phase coaching for ultra-precise RAN synchronization
- Presented two papers and a poster on photonics and network synchronization
- Collaborated with research and industry partners to advance next-generation connectivity
- Welcomed visitors at Menhir Photonics Booth 231 to explore the latest technologies
