6G-MUSICAL at IISA 2024: Showcasing Collaborative Research and Innovation Beyond 5G!
The 15th International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems & Applications (IISA 2024) took place in Chania, Crete, from July 1 to 3, 2024. This prestigious event is a hub for researchers and professionals worldwide to exchange ideas and showcase advancements in fields related to artificial intelligence, networks, and systems.
As part of the conference program, ORO [a key partner of the 6G-MUSICAL project] actively contributed through a joint presentation with the iSEE6G project. This collaboration emphasised both projects’ complementary expertise and shared vision in driving innovation towards 6G technologies. The presentation, titled “AI-Powered Spectrum Sensing Capabilities for Future Networks Beyond 5G”, highlighted ground-breaking research on leveraging artificial intelligence to optimise spectrum sensing and utilisation, a critical area for the evolution of next-generation networks.
Furthermore, the presentation was accompanied by an accepted and published paper, available here, which provides an in-depth exploration of these advancements. Both the presentation and the paper underscored the importance of fostering joint research efforts to address challenges in spectrum sensing and enhance network performance in the 6G era.
This joint activity between the 6G-MUSICAL and iSEE6G projects exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and interdisciplinary innovation that drives the 6G-MUSICAL initiative. By integrating artificial intelligence with advanced sensing technologies, these projects collectively contribute to realizing the ambitious goals of the 6G-MUSICAL project, including the development of new communication paradigms and the exploration of novel technologies for beyond 5G networks.
