6G-MUSICAL at IEEE JC&S Symposium 2025!
The 6G-MUSICAL project was well represented at the 5th IEEE International Symposium on Joint Communications & Sensing (JC&S) 2025, held in Oulu, Finland, from January 28-30, 2025.
As part of the event, Marja Matinmikko-Blue from the University of Oulu facilitated a Workshop on Multi-Disciplinary Approaches to Joint Communication and Sensing in 6G.
This workshop was jointly organised by 6G-MUSICAL, the EU project CONVERGE, and the Finnish-Korean collaboration project WISEC. It provided a platform for experts to exchange ideas on technical, business, and regulatory aspects of joint communication and sensing (JC&S).
The session featured invited presentations and an interactive panel discussion to identify key research challenges in the field. Julia Equi from Ericsson represented 6G-MUSICAL as an online speaker, sharing insights on “Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) Architecture and Sensing Topology Switching in 6G Cellular Networks.”
In addition, Gabor Fodor from Ericsson presented a 6G-MUSICAL research paper titled “Bistatic Integrated Sensing and Communication Scenarios with Transmitter and Receiver-Side Trade-Offs.”
This symposium was an excellent opportunity to showcase 6G-MUSICAL’s contributions and engage with the wider JC&S research community.
